Kirsten Steibusch, CEO & Managing Director of DAB, presents latest results at SBFC 2018 in Florida, USA.

From April 29 till May 2, 2018 Kirsten Steinbusch, CEO & Managing Director of DAB,  joined the Symposium on Biotechnology for Fuels and Chemicals (SBFC) in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This is a special conference of the Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (SIMB) were the latest technology in biotechnology for fuels and chemicals is presented.

An important production route for fuels and chemicals via biotechnology is fermentation. Kirsten presented DABs recent results of the multiphase bioreactor pilot, where DAB successfully showcased the potential of its core technology, named FAST.

DAB has developed a robust, patented, bioreactor technology that overcomes many of the pitfalls of industrial fermentation through the combination of fermentation and separation into a single vessel, enabling in-situ product recovery without any moving parts or membranes.
